Marina and Greg || It all began at the Roxy || Vancouver Wedding Photographer

Their Love Story:

On October 1, 2008 Marina and Greg met at the Roxy, yes The Roxy.  Greg was on his way out when he caught Marina’s attention and numbers were exchanged. We had our first dinner date a few days later at and we clicked right away. We have been together ever since.

The Proposal:

We got engaged on February 25, 2012 in Playa Del Carmen at a beautiful restaurant called ALux. A two-man mariachi band came to the table to play us a romantic piece. As they started to play Greg reached into his pocket to pull out what Marina thought was going to be a tip for the two fine gentlemen, instead he got down on one knee and said “Will You Marry Me”.

What He Adores About Her:

Marina makes me orange and ginger tea when I am sick and gets me out of bed on weekends.  We laugh together and play together.  The peanut butter to my jelly that regulates my insanity… The light of my life and best friend, what’s not to love about that… just some of the things I love about her.

What She Adores About Him:

I have truly found my best friend that I love spending everyday with. I love that he can be funny, serious, mature and immature all at the same time. But most of all I love that he loves me as much as I love him.

Making It Official:

We are getting married at the Barcelo Tropical, Riviera Maya on January 31, 2013. We both wanted to get married on the beach with our close family and friends.

Vintage Styled Wedding Shoot at London Heritage Farms || Vancouver Wedding Photographer

Wedding and Event Planner, Bailey of Bailey’s Brides, recently put together this whimsical photo-shoot at a Heritage Location in Richmond BC, Canada.  With a fabulous team of wedding vendors a dream like classic story came to life behind the walls of the Farm House.  Complete with real life mother daughter models who are the bride and flower girl and two gorgeous bridesmaids this shoot came to life on the day due to the spirit of the team, the feel of the heritage home, and the child-like spirit we all held onto. We literally could feel the presence of ghosts. The heritage home with build in the 1880′s and has been restored to it original state. We wanted to highlight a vintage contemporary feel with our choice of location, decor, dress, and imagery. We feel that this image is timeless and has a story telling quality.

We are your Fairy GodMothers || The Wedding Belles Visit the Fairmont Empress Hotel || Victoria BC, Photographer

We are so thrilled to show you our fairytale themed photoshoot from the Empress Hotel in Victoria BC.   The Wedding Belles were busy princesses for the day running to and from filming and shooting.  It was busy, thrilling and absolutely fantastic.   It was then and there that I realized how lucky I am to be working with such a fantastic team of women.  I met the Belles in November at the BC Wedding Awards in which they were the hosts, and it was love at first site.   From there Miss Marion of Ma-Luxe held a soft launch of her new company and I was Carly’s date.  Her fiery red hair, amazing food making ablites, and her love of all things weddings and fashion had me at Hello!

The Belles Shoot was our official launch as a team!  We ended the day with a French 75 from the Bengal Lounge and cheers to our new endevours.  We are thrilled to move forward and have many amazing shoots and projects to showcase.  Some remain top secret for now!  But soon you will see what we are up to!  We remain passionate warriors of all things wedding and fashion.  Thank you to Jordana Dickson for the photograph above featuring our team.

A HUGE thank you to Marissa Lambert Power of the Fairmont Empress for making our Fairy God Mother team feel at home in the grand library of the hotel.  Thank you to Sarah from Adorn Atelier for designing stunning one of a kind headpieces, Blush Bridal , She She Shoes, and Foxglove Flowers, The Wedding Ring and Home for the Honeymoon.

Blake and Heather’s Wedding in Whistler || Whistler Wedding Photographer

The wedding of Blake and Heather was held at the rooftop chapel at the Chateau Fairmont in Whistler.    It was a intimate ceremony for the couple, with only immediate family witnessing their nuptials.   Ms Marcie from Bliss Events planned the day and it was perfect.  Matt and I both want to thank Blake and Heather for their allowing us the privilage of witnessing such a special moment.  Please come up from Ohio again to visit.  xoxo Lisa
