You may remember Lori and Jerry from their rocking engagement shoot that featured Jerry Motorcycle. From the moment I met these two I knew it was a perfect match, and not only for them. When photographing their engagement shoot, I came to understand that Lori was this amazingly talented artist, who bakes, does make-up, and dabbles in photography. Well her cakes are amazing, she has a make-up kit the size of my dad tool chest and her photography was so good I asked her to shoot some weddings with me! Now she does more then dabble in photography, but is taking some amazing photographs and it building a fantastic portfolio.
Now back to the wedding day: My brother Michael and I met up with Lori and Jerry and their small but fabulous wedding party (Lori’s little sister and Jerry daughter) at the Hotel Vancouver. As the light shone through the windows of the vintage hotel room Lori and Jerry prepared for the day. Lori had her make-up professionally done and Jerry daughter helped her dad with his bow-tie and skull and crossbones cufflinks.
When Jerry was ready he left the room so Lori could get into her gorgeous gown and surprise him with a “First Look” reveal on the grand staircase of the Hotel Vancouver.
A new must have for my blog is to support the wonderful vendors and acknowledge designers who help make the bride and grooms wedding come together!

I just love this photo of Lori….such a classic beauty in her smile. Pure radiance.

My brother Michael took this photo of Lori waiting for the big reveal at the bottom of the grand staircase.

Jerry seeing Lori for the first time. It was so beautiful and the light from the window was like a dream.

We snuck into the Grand Ballroom for some photos. Although a helpful member of staff came in moments later, I am always surprised at myself and my brave and fearless clients to take photos first, ask questions later. Just when we thought we would be asked to leave the ballroom, the staff member of Hotel Vancouver asked us if he could turn on the lights for us!!!! I am always so appreciative of the people out there who are more the willing to help out a bride and groom on their wedding day.

Gotta love public ballroom dancing festivals held at the location you are shooting at. Vancouver Art Gallery gave me a chance to encourage my couple to join in and do things they otherwise would not. Such great sports even if Jerry admitted to turning 5 shades of red.

This was the moment I shouted to the crowd that Lori and Jerry are “getting married” and they all cheered!!! I think this is one of my most favorite photos of the year.

From there we were off to the University Golf Course for the ceremony. It was beautiful and the light again was so majestic.

I just love the way brides and groom’s look at each-other on their wedding day. Nothing but pure love!

Proud mom and dad watching the nuptials.

Married!!!!!
The beautiful sisters strike some fierce poses.

My brother landed some amazing and super adorable photos of Lori’s niece.

Yes Lori made her own wedding cake and assembled it on the day of her wedding!!! Just look at the details. Simply Amazing.

Oh yeah! Ball and Chain.

In order for the couple to kiss, others in the audience had to show em how its done and the couple had to follow suite.

Jerry’s dad serenaded the couple for their first dance. He was really amazing.

First dance.

And finally the little Jumping Bean who danced for hours and brought smiles to everyone’s faces.
