Its been too long since I have created this list ann now is them moment. So without further ado I introduce the weekly (yes weekly!) adore and ignore list. However, a side note this issue will cover the past month (booo to Lisa for not blogging).
1. Number one has to be my niece Harlow. She is a beautiful gem that came into our lives at a perfect moment. I get to squish her on Saturday and I am so very excited. I photographed her at 2 weeks old and I have to admit she gave me a run for my money. Harlow was a little fussy and decided to pee on me! It was awesome and I could not stop laughing because I was trying to spare the carpet. After hours of patience from Amy, Mike and myself we got some amazing shots. Thanks Harlow! I can’t wait for our next photo session.

2. My furry brother Wylie Coyote. He is a13-year-old rag doll cat with personality. In the lion world male lions will often butt heads to say hello and Wylie does this every-time you lower your forehead. It was lying in the patio, catching rays with my furry friend that I thought about creating a portrait that pays homage to his wonderful way of saying hello.

3. I finally bought the 5D Mark II and I love it. Although I have only taking a few shots with the camera I am super excited about using it to photograph Laura and Kevin’s wedding this weekend. My original 5D is a little jealous though, but will get good use in the hands of my trusted second shooter, my brother Michael.

1. Unfortunately Lulu Belle, has been naughty this week and taking up mid-night partying. Her favorite game is to wake me up by jumping on my legs at 4:00am. After being evicted from our bedroom for several nights her attempts to make amends by looking cute and lying by my computer desk are not working. Maybe if she could become the assistant I always wanting and get her cute little paws to fix my a lovely soy latte in the morning, as I have been requesting for years now, things will change. Until then she is on the ignore list…….or until she does something cute!!!
2. The Heat! Although it has cooled…..I was not loving the heat wave. Editing and hot sun filling your home, don’t mix. I literally made my bathtub into a swimming pool!
3. And finally Matt has to make the list somehow, someway, so this week he gets an award for lack of happy participation. I like to take him scouting locations for new photo-shoots and sometimes he does not share my vision. I see amazing colorful and bright graffiti and amazing vintage buildings and he sees abandoned fenced off danger zones and old buildings with tetanus shot potential. He did manage to rock one pose for me in front of some graffiti art and I think it is awesome. Love you Matt, even if you don’t share the “vision”.
