As a portrait photographer I get to witness children and families grow. From the maternity photography to newborn portraits all the way up to the first birthday portraits and beyond, I capture the significant moments that make up a family’s visual history.
That is why I was so excited when Julia’s mom Megan contacted me to photograph her daughter. Julia was just shy of her first birthday and I thought, why not let her smash a birthday cake. Although I have seen it done before I myself had not photographed this hilarious moment! A very messy and sticky moment.
At first Julia was a little apprehensive, but eventually she loved the taste of the buttercream icing! This little one really has a sweet tooth.
